Peer Mediation - June 2025
Today, 12 pupils started their peer mediation training with an educational psychologist from Leeds City Council. They were introduced to peer mediation training through an assembly held by Miss Springer who talked through the benefits of peer mediation and how pupils could support their peers on the playground. Children were given an application form to complete if they were interested and took part in an interview to be selected.
These pupils were selected and spent a morning completing role-play activities, learning about conflict and how listening is a key skill to being a good peer mediator. All pupils were really engaged throughout their training and were able to show off their valuable skills and understanding in preparation for their peer mediator roles.
