Welcome back! We hope all our families enjoyed the Summer break. It has been lovely to see the children back in school this week ready to learn. The children have looked very smart in their school uniforms this week - thank you for having this ready.

What’s been happening in school?

  • Our Reception and Key Stage 1 playground has had a make-over!

The builders have been very busy over the holidays transforming our outside space into somewhere the children can explore and play.

PE Uniform

Any child who is in school every day next week and is on time will win a school PE top!

Reading and Reading Books

The children will receive their reading book at the end of next week. They will also have a book bag. Please make sure books are brought into school every day.

We recommend every child reads at home for 10 - 15 minutes a day. This can be their school reading book, a book from the library, a magazine or a comic.

On Monday 7th September we will be holding our first Pop-Up Bookshop of the year! Come along to the Community Room between 3.15pm and 4pm. All the books are free for the children to enjoy at home.

This week’s book recommendation

https://www.scribd.com/document/761132080/Dog-Man-1

Dog Man is the first book in the bestselling children's graphic novel series by Dav Pilkey following a heroic police officer who is part dog and part man.

This is a great book for children in years 3 and 4.
