It’s the end of week 2 and our first full week of the Autumn term!
What’s been happening in school?

We had a lovely first Pop-Up Bookshop of the year on Monday in the Community Room. I hope everyone enjoyed reading their new books!

The children have all settled into their new classes really well. In Celebration Assembly this morning we heard lots of wonderful things that have been happening in classes this week.

Pupil Leadership: Mr Parker is currently on the hunt for some Junior Sports Leaders in years 4, 5 and 6. Application forms are due by 14th September!
PE Uniform
Our competition continues! Any child who is in school every day next week and is on time will win a school PE top!
Jewellery
We ask that children do not wear any jewellery in school (bracelets, necklaces and rings.) A pair of stud earrings is allowed.
False nails and nail varnish should also be saved for the weekend.
Reading Books
The children will receive a reading book this week. They will also have a book bag to carry their book in. Please make sure books are brought into school every day.
We recommend every child reads at home for 10 - 15 minutes a day. This can be their school reading book, a book from the library, a magazine or a comic.
Next week you will receive information about our new online reading record Track My Read where the children can record what they have been reading at home.

Attendance
Our attendance target is 96%. We want your children to be in school ALL DAY EVERYDAY! School is open between 8.45am and 3.30pm Monday - Friday. Whatever the weather, we want your children to be in school learning and doing all the great activities the teachers are planning.

In Early Years: Sparrows with 94.69%
In KS1: Robins with 95.67%
In years 3 and 4: Kingfishers with 90.32%
In years 5 and 6: Doves with 94.48%
