It’s the final day of the school year! A huge thank you to all the staff in school for their hard work this year in giving the children the best education. A thank you also to the families who have supported school this year.

What’s been happening in school?

• The children in school today have enjoyed the bouncy castle! This was a reward for the children who have shown good behaviour and attendance this half term.

• Our Sports Days have been a huge success. Thank you to all the families who joined us in the heat! Thanks also to Leeds United’s Kopcat who came to all of our Sports Days to support our children.

 

• On Wednesday, the children spent the morning in their new classes. We are so excited to see the children in September with their new teachers!

• On Tuesday morning we enjoyed our first Pupil Recognition Assembly! Children across school voted for winners in different categories such as Most Improved Attendance and Pupil of the Year. The winning children received a certificate and a prize. Well done everyone!

• A group of children who have had fantastic attendance this year received an ice-cream from the ice cream van today! Well done for coming to school all day every day!

Staffing Update

We would like to say farewell to Mr Wright who is moving to a new school in September. Mr Wright has been at Nightingale for two years and has made a big impact on the year 6 children. We wish him all the best.

We would also like to say good luck to Miss Martin who is going on Maternity Leave. We look forward to meeting the new addition to your family!

Farewell to Year 6

Today we will say goodbye to our wonderful year 6 children. They have achieved so much this year and we wish them all the best for starting year 7 at their high schools.
