Physical Education.

Our vision:
At Co-op Academy Nightingale, we follow a curriculum called Spiral PE: this introduces key physical activity concepts to pupils and revisits and refines these skills repeatedly with increasing degrees of complexity. We want our curriculum to balance breadth and depth so our pupils are competent and confident in the knowledge and skills. Active participation is imperative to us and we will provide support/ scaffolds and enablers through our teaching to ensure this happens.
We aim to engage our pupils through participation and development of skills. Enjoying sports and movement is at the heart of our PE teaching. We want our children to build up their skills and apply them in competitive sports showing a willingness to seek improvement and increased confidence.
We value the importance of teaching our children to be healthy and active and give these focus within our lessons.
We seek to take opportunities to enrich our Physical Education curriculum through after school clubs, tournaments and PE opportunities.
